"Pretty good, but could use more variety!!!"
I like it overall... the local news and sports coverage is usually solid!! But some parts feel a little thin, or like I’m reading the same kind of stuff again and again??? I just wish there was more variety from day to day!!!

"The refund did show up eventually..."
The refund did show up eventually, so that’s good, I guess. It just took longer than I expected, but sure, totally fine, no stress at all.

"Loads super fast for me :)"
Pages pop open really quickly, even when I’m on my phone. It makes reading the news way less annoying!

"The notifications feel genuinely helpful"
I actually like the alerts. They don’t come across as pushy or annoying, which makes me assume the app is trying to be helpful rather than constantly grab my attention. They show up when they’re useful, and that’s pretty much exactly what I wanted.

"Canceling was easier than I expected"
I had a startribune.com subscription for a few months, but I ended up not using it as much as I thought I would. I was a little disappointed because I did like having access to some of the articles, but it just didn’t feel worth keeping for me.

Canceling was surprisingly straightforward, though. I found the option quickly, didn’t have to call anyone or deal with a bunch of back-and-forth, and the confirmation came through right away. Mixed feelings about leaving, but the cancellation process itself was smooth.

"Easy to tell what’s behind the paywall"
One thing I appreciate about startribune.com is that they’re upfront about which articles require a subscription. You don’t get halfway through something and then suddenly realize it’s locked, which can be frustrating on other sites. If you’re browsing there, it’s nice because you can tell right away when you’ll need to sign in or subscribe. that kind of clarity makes the whole experience a lot better.

"Feels like I get local news right away"
I’ve been using it for local updates, and my gut says it’s one of the faster ways to hear about breaking news nearby. It’s quick, simple, and usually lets me know what’s going on before I see it anywhere else.

"Login works the way I want it to"
I’m on startribune.com most mornings, the login has been one of those things I barely have to think about, which is exactly how I like it. I’m probably a little biased because I already prefer reading the local news there, but it’s nice that I’m not constantly getting kicked out or forced to reset my password.
It usually remembers me on both my laptop and phone, which sounds small, but it makes a real difference when I just want to check the headlines with my coffee. Some sites make signing in feel like a chore, but this one has been painless for me.

"Feels fair for solid local coverage"
I’ve been subscribing to the Star Tribune for a while, and for me it’s been worth it. I usually check it in the morning, mostly for local news, because that’s the kind of coverage I don’t always see done as well elsewhere.
The price feels fair for what you get, especially if you actually use it regularly. The app and site have worked fine for me overall, and while I’m sure there’s always room to improve, I don’t really have any major complaints

"Canceling my account was kind of a..."
Canceling my account was kind of a hassle, especially compared to other services where it’s usually just a quick click in settings. I had to poke around longer than I expected, but support did eventually help me get it sorted out...

"Quick and Reliable for Local News"
I check Star Tribune most mornings, and it’s been really easy to use. The layout feels clear, the sections are where I’d expect them to be, and stories load well on my phone. I can usually find what I’m looking for quickly without having to dig around, which I appreciate. There are ads, but they haven’t gotten in the way for me. Overall, it’s a solid, dependable site for keeping up with local news

"I mostly read it to keep up..."
I mostly read it to keep up with local politics, i feel like it does a decent job. Some articles definitely seem to lean one way or another, which can be a little frustrating, but overall it feels more balanced than a lot of other news sites I’ve tried.

"Good for the big games, a little light everywhere else"
I mostly read the Star Tribune for Twins, Vikings, and Wolves coverage, and for the most part it does the job. The recaps are usually solid, and they’re quick after big games, which is nice because apparently I need someone to explain the heartbreak I just watched in real time.

That said, some of the articles feel a bit thin, and I wish there was more local college or high school sports without having to go hunting for it like buried treasure. Overall it’s not bad, just kind of depends on the day whether you get something useful or a glorified box score with adjectives.

"Delivery is kind of unpredictable"
Some days the print delivery shows up right on time, and other days it’s late enough that I just start assuming it’s not coming when I expect it. My mental shortcut now is basically: don’t count on it being steady. When it’s on schedule, it’s fine, but I really wish the timing was more consistent.

"The opinion section is a good read"
I’ve been enjoying the opinion section because the viewpoints feel interesting without being too heavy. To me, it’s an easy way to get a sense of different perspectives without having to dig through a lot of dense writing

"I got the print edition again and it..."
I got the print edition again and it showed up looking really good. The pages were clean, easy to read, and there wasn’t any smudgy ink, which I always appreciate. It did miss one section one time, which was a little ridiculous, but overall I’m still really happy with it
